About Me

I am Kyint. I was born and raised in Zogam, the northern part of Burma, a long Indian border. In the hope of a better future, I settled to Rangon, which is the capital of Burma in 1993 after completing my high school diploma. I was trained to be a sailor.  I worked as a seaman from 1998 to 2003, sailed across all over the world, conquered all kinds of  stormy oceans. This was how I spent all of my youth at sea to earn a living. I came to the United States in June 2003 after spending five years of my life at sea. One year after arrival in the United States, I worked at one of the factories in Frederick as a machine operator. I became a naturalized citizen in May 2010. American dream is very hard to achieve without having a proper education. Everybody has to pay the price in order to achieve his or her American dream. I must and you must. Therefore,  I re-enrolled in Frederick Community College in 2009 as a full time student. This semester, fall 2011 is my last semester in Frederick Community College to pursue my Associate of Science in Engineering. I am planning to transfer to University of Maryland, Baltimore County to majoring in Mechanical Engineering. I am a Christian, and I believed in God. I go to Church every Sunday. My hobbies are playing table tennis, fishing, hiking, and watching movie.  I love listening country music. My favorite country song is “It’s Five O’clock Somewhere" by Alan Jackson.
